Get a Library Card


Any resident of the White Oak Library District can receive a library card free of charge! You have the option of registering at the library and receiving a physical card, or applying online to get a temporary card you can use until you come to the library to get your physical card.

Get a Library Card Online
If you are not registered for library services, you can register now through our online form. The process is:

  1. Check here to determine whether you live within the Library District boundaries.
  2. Fill out all required information on the online application form.
  3. Once you submit your online application form, we will evaluate your eligibility for a library card.
  4. In order to receive your library card, you will need to come to one of our Branches and show your photo ID as detailed in #3 below.

Get a Library Card at the Library
We are happy to help you in person to register for a library card. The process is:

  1. Check here to determine whether you live within the Library District boundaries.
  2. Either download, print, and fill out the application form, or come in and we'll provide the application.
  3. Furnish proper identification.

Until age 18, patrons must have a parent or legal guardian furnish proof of residency, and the minor applicant must be present when issuing the card.

The District will perform periodic address verification on all accounts. You may check your address to see if you are a resident in the White Oak Library District at the Will County Supervisor of Assessments website or the Will County Clerk website.
