The Village Board has hired an architectural firm to design a new downtown community center.

The Village Board has approved a contract with Dewberry Architects Inc. of Elgin to design a new 66,000-square-foot community center to be located on Dalhart Avenue, directly across from the Romeoville Branch Library.

Some features of the new community center will include basketball courts, indoor soccer fields, and several multi-purpose rooms. Construction is scheduled to be completed in July 2013.

Recent local projects that Dewberry Architects have worked on include our Romeoville Branch Library as well as the new Village Hall and Fire Stateion number 3.
