Giving to our Foundation

Dear Neighbor,

By almost any way you could measure a library, the White Oak Library District is a success. Your library is vibrant, active, and after nearly 100 years of service it is still growing! Libraries are a smart investment, and dollars spent supporting libraries go a long way. In fact, for every dollar contributed to the White Oak Library District last year, over $5.50 in value was given back to you in library services.

We have the privilege of living in a great community, but we also face many challenges. Too many children are starting kindergarten unprepared for what lies ahead. Teenagers are too often spending their free time engaged in unproductive behaviors. As our economy changes, many adults struggle to change with the times and wind up unemployed or under-employed. It is comforting to know that our wonderful libraries exist, and they are working tirelessly to provide the resources and programs to address these and many other serious issues we face together as a community. The library’s 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten program is just one shining example of how your library makes a difference in the lives of our youngest children.

Your support is crucial, and we are asking your help to make your library’s efforts go even further. If you are able, we’d love it if you could make a tax deductible donation this holiday season to help White Oak Library District achieve its mission and better serve the residents of the greater Crest Hill – Lockport - Romeoville area.

Thank you in advance for your contribution. Your gift will go toward more books and programming to help children and adults continue on a path of lifelong learning.

You can make a donation online via the Foundation Website, or in person at any of our branch libraries, or by mailing a check to us at 201 W. Normantown Rd., Romeoville, IL 60446 (please make checks payable to White Oak Library Foundation).
